imagine if there was a little tool/workflow/extension where people who want to contribute can publish their stats (how it got likes over time, view count over time + who shared it). Like we can see how big of a difference retweets from big accounts make etc.

The big companies A/B test us. We can A/B test each other. It's all good, better communication helps all of us (if you have something to sell, you find your customers, waste less time with people who don't want your product, etc etc!)

yeah I forgot to comment on this: I had a viral tweet before, 500k views, but it got me maybe 100 new followers or something. This seems like it had a way higher rate of followers, and a lot of "normies"/people completely outside my normal subcultures. I think it being (1) about science (2) a provable "prediction" made a lot more people want to subscribe.

I can't find it now but there was a tweet https://x.com/starheal made where she had used astrology to predict the date that Biden would step down. She quoted a tweet of herself 2 years ago saying it, and that seems like the same "genre" of viral tweets. I think people pay more attention to something that "cannot be faked". Which confirms my theory that the best marketing uses & elevates truth. The more you do things that cannot be faked the better the information environment is for everyone. Win-win
